Do you have the skills and experience to work with voluntary groups and communities to ensure their voices are heard in challenging times as the Island develops a whole integrated system for Health and Wellbeing services?
This role will focus upon supporting voluntary and community groups to influence the significant review and restructuring of health and well-being services on the Island which will take place in 2017
It will also involve supporting on-going public engagement events and activities
The successful person will:
Have a minimum 2 years’ experience of working in partnership with a range of organisations, including statutory/voluntary sector & community groups
Have communications and engagement experience and ideally experience of hands on working with communities on local service issues
Hours: 3 days per week (flexible) for fixed term of 12 months
Salary: Pro rata of £22,000 full time equivalent

The Isle of Wight Council has been notified by British Telecommunications plc (BT) of their formal consultation process regarding a programme of intended public payphone removals.
The local authority is required to co-ordinate a consultation response. BT’s letter lists the public payphones that are proposed to be removed, and provides some background information to inform any consultation responses.
