Communication and Engagement Officer Post

Do you have the skills and experience to work with voluntary groups and communities to ensure their voices are heard in challenging times as the Island develops a whole integrated system for Health and Wellbeing services?
This role will focus upon supporting voluntary and community groups to influence the significant review and restructuring of health and well-being services on the Island which will take place in 2017
It will also involve supporting on-going public engagement events and activities
The successful person will:

  • Have a minimum 2 years’ experience of working in partnership with a range of organisations, including statutory/voluntary sector & community groups

  • Have communications and engagement experience and ideally experience of hands on working with communities on local service issues

Hours: 3 days per week (flexible) for fixed term of 12 months
Salary: Pro rata of £22,000 full time equivalent  

The role can either be undertaken as an employee of Community Action IW or as a self-employed consultant.
