Resettlement Support Worker

15 month fixed term, full time

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join us to work with Syrian refugee families who are being resettled on the Isle of Wight.

You will possess an insight into the issues facing refugees integrating to a new community and have a good working knowledge of UK mainstream services. You will have experience and understanding of cultural diversity and the ability to work with people from a range of different cultures. Along with the above, you will also have:

  • Good management skills and the ability to work in an emotionally demanding role.
  • The ability and understanding of how to provide high quality face-to-face support, including assessment and care planning.
  • Excellent partnership and negotiation skills and the ability to work constructively with a wide range of external agencies.
  • Current driving licence valid for use in the UK and access to own vehicle on the Isle of Wight

Arabic speaker desirable but not essential.
