Voluntary Sector Forum
The primary purpose of the Voluntary Sector Forum (VSF), as set out in the Terms of Reference, is to provide a mechanism for effective voluntary sector representation and engagement with the work of the local Health & Well-Being Board and its constituent parts. Membership of the VSF is free and open to any voluntary sector organisation.
It also aims to promote working relationships within the voluntary and community sector and between the sector and public sector partners, to promote voluntary and community activity and support the development of good practice.
Dates for the Voluntary Sector Forum Meetings in 2016 are as follows:
20th April, 20th July, 19th October – all at Riverside starting at 09.30.
Representatives elected from the Voluntary Sector Forum are appointed to the Health and Wellbeing Board, its associated sub groups and Safeguarding boards.

Emma is currently chair of CAIW & the Voluntary Sector Forum. For the past 10 years she has lived and worked on Isle of Wight as Area Director for YMCA, and is responsible for the delivery of a range of services for local children, young people and families, including counselling, nurseries, housing, support for young carers, children’s bereavement service, a 125-bed holiday centre, and specialist playschemes for children with disabilities.
Emma lives on a boat in Bembridge with her partner Dave and 2 very elderly cats. In her spare time, Emma is a terrible but enthusiastic olympic weightlifter and rides a customised chopper motorbike.

Claire is Children’s Service manager for Barnardos: she oversees the delivery of services across the locality with the support of an experienced team of family workers and Early years practitioners plus administrators. A key part of the role is to build relationships with partners in health, education, schools, youth services and beyond.
