- Are you a health related voluntary/community organisation?
- Are you interested in finding out more about Integrated Care Services and how it will work with the voluntary and community sector on the Island?
- Do you support people with mental health issues or dementia on the Isle of Wight?
- Do you want to know more about the proposed creation of a single Trust to provide community and mental health services?
The introduction of the Health & Care Act 2022 means that the new Integrated Care Services should collaborate closely with the Voluntary and Community Sector when shaping, developing, reviewing health and care processes and services. Community Action IW’s workshop will introduce Integrated Care Services and explain how the HIOW ICS proposes to collaborate with the Voluntary and Community Sector across the region.
In January 2022 The HIOW ICS commissioned a review of community and mental health services. The review has recommended the creation of a single Trust to deliver all community and mental health services across the Hampshire and Isle of Wight region.
You can find the Mental Health Review here Community and mental health review :: Hampshire and Isle of Wight ICS (hantsiowhealthandcare.org.uk)
There will be representatives from Solent NHS to explain the recommendation and what this will mean for the delivery of community and mental health services across the region. This will be an opportunity for the Island voluntary and community sector to have a say on the recommendation and ask questions about the delivery of community and mental health services.
There are 2 dates for the workshop:
27th February from 10.30am to 12.30pm – Riverside Centre.
28th February from 7.00pm to 9.00pm – online via Zoom.
In both sessions the agenda is:
Introduction to the ICS
Introduction to HIVCA – the Hants & IW voluntary and community sector alliance and how the VCSE sector can become involved
Presentation by Solent NHS on the Mental Health Review followed by round table discussion and views
Both sessions are expected to last 2 hours.
