Island CoHousing is holding a public information meeting on Saturday 15 April at the Riverside Centre between 1.30 and 3.30pm
Please see the link to this group’s web site here https://islandcohousing.uk/
They established in 2018 and are hoping to obtain a site on the edge of the countryside but close to transport links and services on which to bring their vision to reality.
The Isle of Wight Council supports Community Led housing and co-housing is an innovative concept in which groups of like-minded people form a group to develop homes for themselves but incorporating a large amount of shared decision making. Ultimately the development is owned by the group and additional shared amenities are provided in addition to the homes.
More information about co-housing in general can be seen at https://www.communityledhomes.org.uk/what-cohousing
The meeting will allow the opportunity to meet with members of Island CoHousing and the Community Led Housing Officer for the Isle of Wight who will give an informal talk at 2pm.
The meeting will take place in the Carisbrooke Room which is to the left of the reception area in Riverside. Details of location of Riverside are here Location of Riverside Centre (Community Action)
We would encourage bus or bike travel rather than car, but parking is available on site but cars must be registered at Reception.
