Arts & Heritage Volunteer Fair

The IW Volunteer Centre and the IW Steam Railway, supported by Creative Island are working together to put on an event to showcase some of the Island’s fantastic arts, museums and heritage organisations and the role volunteers play in keeping our arts and heritage on the Island alive.

Find out about how the organisations work and how you can get involved. Handle objects and maybe even try something on!

“In my role as Volunteer Centre Manager at Community Action IW, I have had the pleasure to go and visit many of these arts, heritage centres and museums and am always blown away by the extent of knowledge being preserved and the passion shared for our culture by a relatively small group of people. Our vibrant arts scene sees professional artists working side by side and supported by volunteers. This event will help to showcase some of them and build connections with the wider community.

Come by yourself or bring the whole family down. For some, it will be a time for reminiscing, for others, a time to discover new things about the place where they live or the things that they love.

You may even be inspired to volunteer some of your time or specialist skills to one of these groups.

There won’t be any pressure to sign you up as a volunteer, but if you do want to support these organisations, your time is something that will be much appreciated.” Sandy Ciccognani, IW Volunteer Centre Manager.

It will be completely FREE to attend, for both organisations and members of the Public.

Arts & Heritage Volunteer Fair Booking Form 2024 - Deadline 4th April 2024

The Event will take place on Sunday 14th April from 11am -3pm at IW Steam Railway, Havenstreet. We have full use of the Events Barn with tables and chairs provided (subject to numbers). Additional space will be available outside for larger objects/vehicles/ marquees etc Any suggestions for extra activities welcome. Please complete this booking form no later than the 25th March 2024 to secure a place. There is NO COST for attending this event either for Organisations or members of the public.
